It is referred to asrecycled productwhen the material used to make it is recycled.
But if we were rigorous, the term recycled could only be used for products made from remnants of the same product, like a recycled glass bottle made from glass from other bottles, thus re-entering the cycle of glass bottles, this is how it is recycled.
Could we say that a chair made from recycled packaging plastic is a recycled chair? Well, we could say it is a chair made from recycled plastic.
But if we take an old wooden chair thrown next to a bin, fix it, paint it, and make it a useful chair again, are we not recycling it? We are returning the chair to the cycle of chairs, right?
That is why we call ourselvesRecycled Furniture. We could call ourselves Restored, Repaired, Reinvented, Painted, Decorated or Transformed Furniture, but we believe that recycled fits us better, because we have the vocation to make the most of resources and contribute to waste reduction.
But at Recycled Furniture, we primarily want to give new life to old furniture, revalue it and restore its dignity.
To do this, we want to give free rein to our creativity; we not only change its colour, we rethink it, adapt it, and even change its function.
